At 53, I’ve embarked on a journey to help others around my age take excellent care of themselves—physically, emotionally, and socially—so we can all age gracefully, live our best lives, and contribute our unique beauty to the communities we love.

At Fresh Girl Friday, I’m committed to sharing practical self-care advice that is both well-researched and grounded in my own journey. Together, we’ll explore ways to prioritize our well-being as we age gracefully.
A little about me
I’m a proud parent of four with a diverse background that includes both software engineering and farming—two worlds that couldn’t be more different, but both have shaped my approach to life and self-care. One of my favorite parts of this journey has been running our farmers market table every Saturday morning.
In 2021, my life changed when I became the caretaker for a close friend facing a serious medical condition. As I poured my energy into their care, I realized by 2023 that I had been neglecting my own needs. A simple skincare tip from my daughter sparked an epiphany, reminding me that I deserve the same care I give others. That moment was a turning point, launching me on a dedicated path of self-care.
Today, I’m dedicated to helping others discover how to prioritize their well-being and live their best lives.
Professional background
I also teach sexuality education, helping people of all ages learn about gender, sexuality, consent, and self-care. These experiences shape my holistic approach to self-care, emphasizing both understanding and respecting ourselves and others..
